Iridescent vide poche by Verceram in excellent condition. The Verceram company, based in Montreuil in the Paris region, disappeared in the 1970s. Its bold and decorative shapes contributed to its success at that time, and its various high-end collections were widely available in stores. Asian competition and the oil crisis proved fatal for it. Today, the brand's ceramics are coming out of cupboards, and their value is gradually increasing. Some Verceram pieces are sought after by collectors. As before, the very recognisable style of the ceramics they produced in the 1960s-70s revolved around tableware and decoration: trivets, ice buckets, knife holders, ashtrays, small dishes, fruit bowls, vide poche, table lamps, vases, carafes, juice sets, candlesticks, salt shakers, serving trays... With four different decorations, the iridescent one being the most commercially successful. Vintage bowl from the 1960s-70s: H 165 X W 25 X D 15.
