Rare and spectacular vintage Verceram bowl, emblematic of mid-20th century French modernist ceramic design. This iconic model combines an iridescent blue-green glazed ceramic bowl, with deep metallic reflections, and a gilded brass handle forming an elegant arch, highlighting the lightness and sophistication of the piece. The contrast between the shiny ceramic and the gilded metal is typical of the Verceram aesthetic, inspired by both industrial design and abstract sculpture. The curved, fluid, and almost airy shape gives this bowl a very sculptural presence: it is as beautiful empty as a work of art, as it is used as a catch-all, fruit bowl, or centrepiece. Founded in Vernon (Eure), the Verceram factory is one of the most important French houses of post-war artistic ceramics, known for its bold shapes and iridescent and volcanic glazes. ________________________________________ Dimensions.
