Modernist Japanese cast iron candlestick

Small 1960s modernist Japanese candlestick. Made of cast iron for 12 candles. Marked with a stamp 'JAPAN' on the back, it is representative of the brutalist design trend in Japan during the 1960s, embodying the Mingei spirit. In dark brown cast iron, almost black, its style is very geometric with an openwork structure around a central ring. Its surface is slightly rough. In good condition with signs of wear from use. A very small, intimate, and minimalist piece. It could also be displayed with 12 slim candles.
