Globe lampshade for industrial wall lamp

This globe of elongated shape, comes from a wall lamp that was used in factories, workshops. Its glass is very thick, and was also protected (and held on the base) by a kind of grid of the same shape. It seems to me that we call these anti-explosion sconces (or glass?), because these fixtures were designed not to break if something exploded nearby or if an element hit it. It is in good general condition, neither crack nor shine but has some signs of its age: some spots and small scratches. It measures 17.5cm in length, 9cm in width, 7.5cm in height and weighs just under 400g.
