Holmegaard glass wall lamp by Per Lütken, Denmark, 1970s

Wall lamp designed by Per Lütken for Holmegaard Glasværk, Denmark, early 1970s. Known as the Glasplatte model (Glass plate). It features a thick, curved panel of frosted art glass, hand-decorated with masses of fused glass in warm shades of red, orange, yellow, and brown. The artisanal manufacturing process creates a multicoloured structure with irregular veins, internal air bubbles, and crystallised particles, resulting in a unique optical diffusion of light. When lit, it provides a warm and radiant atmosphere. The glass component is mounted on an adjustable metal bracket that allows the angle to be modified.
