Magnificent pair of Italian armchairs, designed by Carlo de Carli in 1966 and produced by Sormani in the 1960s and 1970s. Named Sella, which means saddle in Italian, these armchairs are inspired by his name, an open and raised back, held by leather straps, evoking the tension and lightness of equestrian design. The frames are made of solid Brazilian rosewood, adorned with magnificent brass details, and demonstrate very fine cabinetwork. The seat, armrests and backrest are composed of high-density foam cushions with taut lines, which offer a very comfortable seating experience. These armchairs have been completely restored, the seat foams replaced, and reupholstered with a very soft alpaca velvet fabric from Dedar.
