Cast iron trivet – swallow decoration – Longwy pottery

Charming earthenware trivet featuring a delicate design of swallows in flight at the centre of a finely stylised floral wreath. The motif is rendered in shades of blue-grey on an ivory background. It elegantly evokes the lightness and movement typical of decorative productions from the late 19th century. Attributed to the Longwy pottery, this model showcases the craftsmanship of the factory in the work of printed decorations, combining precision of design and softness of tones. The circular composition framed by floral scrolls enhances the visual balance of the piece. Overall in good condition, with slight signs of wear visible (see photos).
