Rosenthal Polygon Serenade – Vintage wall plate – Bjørn Wiinblad

Rosenthal Polygon Serenade – Vintage Wall Plate – Bjørn Wiinblad & Tapio Wirkkala – 26 cm. Superb decorative porcelain plate from the famous Rosenthal studio-linie collection, combining the designs of two great 20th-century creators: Tapio Wirkkala and Bjørn Wiinblad. The geometric Polygon shape, designed by Finnish designer Tapio Wirkkala, is distinguished by its elegantly faceted contours. The "Serenade" decor, imagined by Danish artist Bjørn Wiinblad, depicts a romantic and fairy-tale garden, animated with characters, musicians, stairs, lanterns, and lush vegetation. Executed in delicate shades of blue on a white background, this composition evokes Wiinblad's poetic and refined universe. Produced in the 1970s–1980s, this piece perfectly illustrates the meeting of modernist design and European decorative art. A beautiful collectible piece, ideal for elegant wall decoration or a vintage interior.
