A sculptural collectible object hand-carved by the Finnish artist Matti Martikka. A solid pine chair made from fallen tree trunks. This pedestal chair comes from a museum in his hometown of Lappeenranta. Usable but somewhat unstable, it is considered more of a work of art. Matti Martikka from South Karelia was a locally known carpenter who carved chairs from tree trunks and made large log tables, never selling his furniture but keeping it for his home museum in Joutseno.
