Antique water butter dish in stoneware. Beautiful mineral material punctuated with fine dark inclusions and natural shades ranging from tobacco brown to warm honey with a slight flamed effect. Very studio pottery presence: simple shapes, balanced proportions, and a functional aesthetic that evokes the artisanal or semi-artisanal productions of the 60s–80s. The interior features a clear glaze contrasting with the earthy exterior tones, enhancing its authentic character. No visible mark or indication of origin. This type of water butter dish allows for longer butter preservation thanks to the traditional water sealing principle. In good vintage condition, with some discreet signs of use and small firing irregularities inherent to the manufacturing process (see photos). Diameter 14 cm, height without lid 7 cm, height with lid 9.5 cm, height of the containing part 10 cm, diameter of the containing part 5 cm. Estimated capacity of about 150 g of butter. The charm of a functional antique object where daily use meets a very contemporary mineral aesthetic.
