Description Karl Dittert was a German industrial designer and university professor. Initially, he was a professor and from the 1970s, he served as rector of the "Fachhochschule für Gestaltung Schwäbisch Gmünd". Alongside his teaching activities, Dittert worked as a freelance industrial designer in his own studio. He worked for companies including WMF, Lufthansa, Ritterwerke, and Bosch. His creations are now exhibited in numerous museums around the world. Exhibitions can be found at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Gemeentemuseum in Arnhem, the Design Center in Stuttgart, the Neue Sammlung in Munich, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
