Imari-style porcelain plate, hand-painted, Japan, mid-20th century. This plate is a piece of Japanese porcelain in the Imari style, richly decorated. It is characterised by its palette of cobalt blue, rust red, and hand-painted gold accents, adorned with traditional motifs. Made of hard porcelain with a scalloped edge, it features a central ornamental vase filled with peonies, surrounded by birds (likely pheasants or cranes) among flowering cherry branches. The rim is decorated with floral cartouches on a dark blue background, enhanced with gold leaf details. On the reverse, a circular red stamp in Japanese characters indicates the workshop or region of origin. Dating: Mid-20th century (end of the Shōwa era). Although the Imari style dates back to the 17th century, this specific stamp and finishing technique indicate high-quality export production from the mid-20th century. In good vintage condition. Dimensions: 22 X 3 cm. As these items are vintage, they may show signs of wear due to their age. The photos are an integral part of the description and reflect their condition.
