Mid-Century Modern Scandinavian Buffet in Dark Raw Oak with Wooden Handles, 1960s

This modernist sideboard was made in Scandinavia in the 1960s. It is made of oak wood, considered to be royal wood. It is a very strong and durable material with a rich grain. The wood resists scratches and damage and becomes more refined with age. This sideboard is finished in a dark and varied colour. From brownish tones to deep dark brown, which, depending on the angle of light, can give an impression of black. The strong and structured grain flows harmoniously here. This creates a stunning visual effect. The front features a pair of sliding doors. There is a shelf and an empty space inside. The convex edges of the frame are also visible, which, along with the subtle colour, emphasises the multidimensional character of this design. The geometric wooden handles perfectly complement the front of the piece. The elegant legs are made of wood and fit perfectly with the overall shape.
