Orange Set (4) Herman Miller Original Eames DSW Dining Side Shell Chairs

Some original vintage orange Eames side shell chairs for Herman Miller look amazing on their used, newer DSW dowel bases finished in stunning light maple wood. The unique nature of the orange shells offered by Herman Miller meant they would age in their own way creating a truly wonderful version of this chair! The myriad array of colours the Eames fiberglass shell series was offered in helped propel them in finding their fame. The versatility of the chairs was seen not only in their interchangeable bases but also in the way their colour palate meant they worked in either home or professional spaces seamlessly. Individual Characteristics. In great vintage condition, small signs of use around the edge, as expected with age, but there are no cracks or dents. The colour was originally red/orange, but the gentle hands of time has resulted in the shells being slightly faded in their finish. The ‘C’ with the 3 pointed star logo indicates these shells were produced at Herman Miller’s Cincinnati factory.
