Large old painting in oil on canvas, bouquet of roses, signed, circa 1890-1910.

Large and very beautiful old oil painting on canvas, still life, depicting a generous bouquet of roses placed on a ledge, signed at the bottom right, signature difficult to decipher, possibly "M/N. Saubagnol" (?)... French work from the late 19th to early 20th century. A note "Salon 1910" is on the back of the canvas, confirming a presentation or dating close to that time. The composition is rich, with deep tones and thick brushstrokes, in the tradition of academic floral still lifes from the Belle Époque. The painting is presented in a large original wooden and stucco frame. Total dimensions 57x69 cm frame, canvas alone 43x55 cm. Very good overall condition, recent varnish, some minor wear and a visible scratch on the right side. Home restoration for the frame, consolidated and repainted, with some reconstructed elements; the whole remains very decorative and coherent while retaining elements of antiquity, notably visible cracks on the stucco but solidified.
