Elegant sideboard designed by Jean-Claude Mahey, an iconic figure of French design in the 1970s, known for his refined creations that blend lacquer, architectural lines, and precious finishes. This model is appealing due to its superb finish in glossy beige lacquer, subtly enhanced with details in gilded brass that finely highlight its minimalist design. Its aesthetic, both understated and luxurious, perfectly embodies the elegance of French furniture from the 70s. The sideboard offers a very functional interior organisation with two side doors framing a central column of five drawers, ideal for storing dishes, linen, or everyday items. Its low and slender silhouette allows it to fit seamlessly into a dining room, living room, or hallway, where it immediately becomes a focal point. Condition: Very good overall condition. The lacquer is beautifully preserved, with only two small discreet chips. The brass plinth shows some pitting and slight signs of wear related to age. A hinge has been previously repaired, which causes a slight play when opening the door, without affecting its proper functioning.
