Rare and sculptural pair of vintage bedside tables signed Éric Maville for Jean-Claude Mahey, dating from the 1970s. A very beautiful piece of French design, immediately recognisable by its graphic aesthetic and architectural volumes: facades with geometric lines, suspended bodies, open niches, and an astonishing spherical base. Entirely made in an elegant ivory white finish, this pair has a particularly decorative presence. The contrast between the straight lines of the furniture and the spherical legs gives it a very original silhouette, typical of 70s design furniture. Each bedside table features a closed storage compartment at the top as well as an open niche at the bottom. The attribution plaque Éric Maville – Paris is present on both pieces. A particularly interesting pair for enthusiasts of vintage French furniture, 70s design, and interiors influenced by Space Age, Hollywood Regency, or contemporary Art Deco. Dimensions of one bedside table: H 42.5 x W 52.5 x D 39.5 cm. Vintage condition: good overall condition with some localized signs of use on the lower part of one of the tables, visible in the photos. These marks remain discreet given their location. Sold only as a pair.
