Vintage chess set dating from the late 19th or early 20th century, consisting of 32 finely carved and hand-turned wooden pieces. This set is distinguished by its careful craftsmanship and the elegance of its contrasting natural and black pieces. Each piece has unique details, with a beautiful natural patina, testifying to its age. The height of the pieces varies, with a king measuring approximately 9 cm and pawns measuring 4.5 cm. Please note: some missing or damaged pieces have been replaced with similar pieces. This includes in particular a black knight and the two black rooks, which integrate perfectly into the set. These replacements have been made in keeping with the original aesthetic. The set remains in good general condition with uniform signs of wear.
