I am selling this pair of Japanese "Ozen" trays from the Meiji period (circa 1890). I purchased them at an auction during an Asian Art sale. In Japanese, ozen (お膳) refers to a four-legged tray used for serving food. There are some visible signs of age, but they remain shiny. Product type: Pair of side tables/trays/nightstands/coffee tables. Japanese - Meiji period (circa 1890) Material: very light wood (approximately 600g per item) and lacquer. Colour: Black with red and gold decorations of birds and foliage. Dimensions: height 16cm. 42/42 cm.
