Human support before purchase. Rare pair of sculptural birds designed by Aldo Londi for Bitossi Ceramiche, original Italian production from the period, circa 1960. Made of ceramic in a natural earth tone, they feature clean, organic shapes highlighted by delicate incised patterns and dots. A particularly understated aesthetic in Londi's production, where the silhouette design and material work take on great importance. The two birds rest on their original brass bases, consisting of fine rods and square bases, now adorned with a beautiful patina of time. A particularly rare pair to find complete, with its two complementary models and their original mounts. Aldo Londi for Bitossi Ceramiche, Italy, circa 1960. Ceramic and brass. Height: 35cm / 27cm.
