The refined Danish mid-century extendable rosewood table, based on its form and details, was most likely made by Gudme Møbelfabrik in the 1960s or 1970s. It exemplifies the elegance and craftsmanship characteristic of Scandinavian modern design. The tabletop is 115 cm in diameter, and when fully unfolded, it is 225 cm long. Each of the additional leaves is 55 cm wide, and the length with one inner leaf is 170 cm. Height: 72 cm. The table is crafted from richly grained rosewood, showcasing deep tones and beautifully patterned veneer that highlight the natural beauty of the material. The table has two inner leaves. One of the leaves is in a different grain of the wood. It was common in small Danish homes at that time that it was an absolute extra part. The table has been renovated. The surface has been carefully refinished with new layers of satin lacquer, revealing the depth of the rosewood grain. The extension mechanism has been checked and works properly. This piece remains in excellent vintage condition with absolutely minor signs of use.
