Italian wardrobes or cabinets from the Artona series, designed by Afra & Tobia Scarpa and manufactured by Maxalto starting in the 1970s; constructed from walnut-veneered layered wood with black leather-clad doors featuring handles made of leather cords and circular metal details, the wood’s layered structure is highlighted by the distinctive beveled edges at the ends of the side panels—a signature feature of the Artona series. Italy 1970s Set of two. Please note that the wardrobes are original of the period and this shows normal signs of age and use.
