Superb Antique Gilt Mirror from the Louis-Philippe Period - Mercury Glass (96x79 cm) Be captivated by the authentic charm of this magnificent rectangular mirror from the Louis-Philippe period (mid-19th century). It has retained its superb original gilding, which gives it a warm and luminous patina, as well as its original mercury glass. A statement piece, ideal for adorning a wall above a console table, fireplace, or in an entryway. * Period: Louis-Philippe (1830-1848) * Frame: Wooden with its original gilding. The frame is decorated with an elegant ogee molding and a gadrooned frieze on the exterior. * Glass: Authentic mercury glass. As is typical for a piece of this age, the glass has slight marks and pitting on the silvering (the glossy surface), which adds to its charm and attests to its age (see photos). * The back of the mirror is made of original wood, a guarantee of quality and sturdiness. Dimensions: * Width: 96 cm * Height: 79 cm * Thickness: 4 cm Condition: The mirror is in good overall condition considering its age. Note: As shown in the photos, there are two or three small chips on the flat part to the left of the frame (see photos). These slight signs of age contribute to its history and authenticity.
