Pair of Imari Japanese Cornucopia Vases | Crane & Iron Red Decor

Superb and rare pair of Japanese porcelain vases, faithful to the renowned Imari style (or Arita for export) of the Meiji period (1868-1912). The decoration is typical of the Imari style with its rich palette: Vibrant iron red, used for the main background. Cobalt blue for the geometric and floral motifs on the neck and foot. Enhanced with gold, notably on the cranes' plumage. Iron red stamp on the base. In very good condition.
