HST painting "Le poirier route d'Evreux" by Léon Gaudeaux (1893 / 1947)

Painting made in oil on canvas embedded entitled "le poirier route d'evreux" and signed by léon gaudeaux (1893/1947 - see bio attached). Very nice workmanship for this work dating from the middle of the last century. Good state of conservation, support and healthy and clean pictorial layer. Baguette frame offered with. Chassis dimension: 55 / 63 cm. Jouy-sur-eure is a commune in the eure department in normandy in northern france. Léon gaudeaux (1893 - 1947): Landscape painter and engraver, born in blâmont in 1893. Léon gaudeaux studied at the école nationale des arts décoratifs and was a pupil of pierre billard. He set up his studio at 113 rue de ménilmontant, and exhibited at the salon des artistes français in 1913. A renowned painter, he also exhibited at the salon des indépendants in paris, notably in 1924, at the galerie bru in 1930, at the galerie gilbert in 1931 (group "modulation"), at the archipel in 1935, or at the salon des indépendants in 1937...
