Landscape of the Isle of Man, 1916. Oil on canvas. Signed and dated bottom left. 28 X 38 cm. Framed. Very good condition (restoration) Artist listed on Artprice. German artist born in Glogau in 1866 and died in 1938 in Bad Hindelang, Kamptz is a portraitist and an Impressionist landscape painter. Note: The artist's internment in the Douglas camp—where he was allowed to have his studio—during the war helps to date this landscape.
