Cognac Safari armchairs by Kaare Klint

These safari chairs are remarkable due to the exceptional patina of their cognac-coloured leather. The Safari is a refined version created in 1933 by the "father" of Danish design, Kaare Klint, of the Roorkhee campaign chair used by English officers in the Indian army. The relatively simple ash frame is a perfect base for the beautiful patinated leather parts of the structure.
