Pair of "Sirocco" armchairs by Arne Norell, 1960

Swedish work, 1960. H 71 X W 68 X D 65 cm. Teak and leather. Good condition — sold as a pair. Backrest in leather stretched directly between the rear supports, without an intermediate frame. Turned wood, visible dowels, brass loops. Designed by Arne Norell in the style of the Safari chair (1933) by Kaare Klint, a reference in campaign furniture. Norell eliminates the usual backrest tensioners on this type of seat. Manufactured by his own company, Norell Möbel AB, in Sweden. Sold as a pair, with a side table.
