Elegant and highly sought-after Italian set of arched mirror and half-moon console, designed and produced by Vivai del Sud, one of the most renowned Italian design workshops specialising in natural fibres in the 1950s-1960s. The set is made of natural rattan and bamboo, combining traditional craftsmanship techniques with a clearly mid-century formal language. Both pieces have been designed as a decorative unit, maintaining perfectly balanced proportions, materials, and visual rhythms. The arched mirror features a curved bamboo structure with an architecturally inspired upper arch. The front frame is enhanced by a geometric lattice of split rattan cane, arranged diagonally around the glass, creating a graphic effect characteristic of Vivai del Sud's production. It retains its original glass, perfectly integrated into the structure. The half-moon console, designed to be placed against a wall, has an elegant and lightweight semi-circular silhouette. It consists of a bamboo supporting structure with curved legs, a lower reinforcing frame, and a half-moon shaped top, all executed with great artisanal precision.
