Rare antique Terre de Fer earthenware wash jug, Marguerites pattern, Salins-les-Bains factory (Jura), late 19th/early 20th century. This wide-mouthed jug with a straight neck and solid handle, boasting elegant proportions, is typical of period wash sets. It is decorated with a delicate blue/grey floral design on a cream background, complemented by a decorative frieze at the top. A mark on the underside attests to its Salins – Terre de Fer production. A beautiful and distinctive piece, both decorative and steeped in history, ideal as a vase, a collector's item, or as a striking element in a period bathroom, bedroom, or Haussmannian-style interior, whether in a family home or a chic country setting. Condition: Very good condition for its age. Patina from age and natural cracking on the underside, a small hairline crack at the base. Dimensions: Height 28 cm – Width 24 cm – Depth 20 cm. Period: Late 19th / Early 20th century.
