Magnificent Cassone chest in Walnut from the 17th century

Magnificent cassone chest in richly carved solid walnut from the 17th century. Opening with a molded lid on 2 sides. A movable tab on the left side allows it to be held open. Original locks, no key. Superb waxed patina. Rests on a magnificent molded base in perfect condition. Paneled on its 3 sides, carved with medallions with acanthus leaves and geometric arcatures, its panels are made of burl walnut. It also has a drawer which is located in the lower part of the chest. This splendid chest of beautiful proportions offers you plenty of storage space. Note that 2 small moldings are missing. See photo. Very good general state of conservation.
