1950s rattan armchair from the Netherlands

This low rattan armchair can be dated to the 1950s. It is probably a Dutch model, made in the Frisian town of Noordwolde, known for its rattan production in the 1940s and 1950s. Rattan was a popular material, used after the Second World War, as metal and wood were scarce and often too expensive.
