Scandinavian freestanding teak shelving unit by Ollie Borg for Asko Finland, Denmark, 1960s

A sizeable and functional freestanding teak shelving unit by ollie borg was manufactured by asko in finland, which is validated by the original stamp. It is dated to the 1960s. Three spacious cabinets and four shelves will provide enough storage expository space in the living room. Excellent carpentry and beautiful grain of teak veneer will enrich any interior with a midcentury modern look. The set consists of: 2 cabinets h: 51 / w: 97/ d: 38 cm. A chest with four drawers h: 51 / w: 97/ d: 37, 5 cm (3 drawers - 7, 5 cm high, one drawer -13 cm high) 4 shelves 25 cm deep. 3 black varnished wood rails 200 cm long. The wall unit has been checked by our team. We have made sure that all drawers and doors work properly. On many occasions, we have to sand down the most used parts (if they are scratched badly). Here we have only rejuvenated the wood with danish oil. We leave minor signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm it is originality. Our goal is to restore the furniture to its best condition, considering its age of 60 years. Clients from all around the world already have trusted our work and its fruits. If you are new to vintage furniture, you can contact us for any possible explanations and close-ups of the piece. Overall fantastic vintage condition with minor traces of use.
