Superb little authentic Chinese rug, hand-knotted in 1986. This rug stands out for its very thick pile and dense wool velvet, offering exceptional comfort and a beautiful textured relief (sculpted). It features a classic floral design, with a central medallion and a floral border in soft tones of beige-pink, old rose, and grey-green on a taupe/glazed brown background. Main characteristics: Origin: China (confirmed by the original label still present). Manufacture: Fully handmade, dated 1986. Dimensions: 91 X 61 cm (excluding fringes), approximately 110 cm with fringes. Quality: Very thick rug, "Super" quality (according to label), dense knotting. Condition: This rug is in very good overall condition, having been very lightly used. The colours are fresh and the velvet is not worn. The period customs label is still attached to the back. Note: A few very small discreet stains due to storage, visible up close, but they do not detract from the overall beauty of the rug. Perfect as a bedside rug, entrance mat, or to define a small reading nook. Its style adds a chic vintage touch and warmth to any contemporary or classic interior. It is a durable handcrafted piece.
