Vintage Chinese rug 120 x 60 cm with reliefs, Beijing flowers, handmade.

Superb authentic Chinese rug, hand-knotted and precisely dated 29 November 1986. Imported from the famous Hebei province (Peacock brand), it perfectly represents the craftsmanship of the time. A sculptural relief: The uniqueness of this rug lies in its hand-carving technique. The contours of the floral patterns and butterflies have been sculpted with scissors into the thickness of the velvet, creating a unique 3D effect to the touch and sight. Colour palette: A delicate harmony of pastel shades: cream/beige background, peony patterns in old rose tones, with touches of sage green and mauve. A timeless style that fits well in both classic interiors and more contemporary decor (Grandmillennial style). Technical characteristics: Material: 100% wool velvet of fine density on a cotton base.
