A magnificent trunk dating from the late 17th to the early 18th century made of solid oak and wrought iron. Northern Europe. A remarkable piece from the province with a beautiful carved skirt and feet, handmade fittings, as well as a sought-after patina on the wood and metal surfaces. Superb details throughout – subtle decorations and hand-forged nails that hold the piece together, including the beautiful single board. Pleasant wabi-sabi appearance, which can serve as a chest of drawers, sideboard, or even a side table or sofa table. Please note: the key has been lost somewhere over the last 300 years.
