Beautiful sugar bowl in Gien earthenware, model Valence. This vintage model is well-known and is part of the iconic designs from the Gien pottery. The background is ivory, enhanced with a golden frieze, a green border, and a golden line. It is adorned with small motifs of flowers and foliage in gold, just the right amount, so the decoration is not overloaded. This model is elegant, classic, tasteful, timeless, and will enhance your table at coffee or tea time. It is in relatively good condition, considering its age. One handle has been damaged and re-glued, without compromising the object's sturdiness. There is a very slight hairline on the second handle (barely visible from only one side). These minor flaws do not detract from the beauty of this sugar bowl. Moreover, they give it patina, charm, and authenticity, proof of the object's history. Otherwise, the condition is very good, the gold decorations are intact, with no missing pieces or cracks. This sugar bowl has retained a lovely shine and luster.
