Victorian library 1860 in blackened oak with sliding glass doors.

We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely Victorian library in blackened and gilded wood, hand-carved. Very old, well-made and of the period, the carving is highly ornate and extends onto the side panels depicting flowers. The wood retains its original ebonisation with gilded details, and the glass is original water glass with a wavy effect visible in good light. In terms of condition, it is in very good condition, cleaned, waxed, and polished, with a natural period finish. One of the glass panels has two discreet cracks on a section covered with paper.
