Etching in red – dancer above flames and waves, M. Schneider 1973

An expressive original etching in red and brown tones. On the left, dark, jagged flames shoot upwards; on the right, a graceful dancer floats above a tower with buildings, and at the bottom a turbulent sea surges. Numbered III in pencil below the image, signed M. Schneider and dated 1973. By the same artist there are also two etchings of an acrobat on a bull and ‘Die Gefangenen’. Condition: Good. The paper is clean with a few small spots to the left of the plate (see photo 2). The plate is printed slightly askew on the sheet (see photo 1), as is often the case with artists’ own impressions.
