A playful, surreal-looking original etching in black: a capricious, flowing contour line forms an abstract face with one large, detailed eye, opposite a dark, finely hatched shape with a second, smaller eye. The plate sits with a clear plate mark on a generous sheet of handmade paper with a deckle edge. Signed in pencil at lower left with a loose, hard-to-read signature. The sheet came from the same lot as the etchings by M. (Maria) Schneider from 1972–1973 that we also offer, on the same kind of handmade paper with a deckle edge; this is why we tentatively attribute it to her. 1970s. Condition: Good. The paper is clean with a small dark dot in the lower right margin; the deckle edges are naturally irregular. No tears or folds visible. Unframed.
