Centrepiece jardinière in flamed stoneware from the famous Pierrefonds factory (Oise). A magnificent collector's piece from the prosperous period of the Faïencerie Héraldique under the direction of ceramic engineer Alphonse Cytère. Period model: Art Deco / Art Nouveau, circa 1920-1930. Shape & Style: Model referenced under number 313, characterised by very graphic organic lines and superbly stylised handles in volutes / scrolls. Decorations & Glaze: Magnificent high-fired glazed surface in cobalt blue and azure shades, enhanced with deep ochre, brown, and metallic drips typical of Pierrefonds production. Stunning material effects in the light. Markings on the reverse: Perfectly authenticated on the base with the iconic embossed signature "au casque de chevalier" as well as the model number 313. Dimensions: length 34 cm, width 22 cm, height at the handles 19 cm, lowest height at the recesses 12.5 cm (important size, very beautiful decorative presence). EXCELLENT CONDITION / GALLERY QUALITY. Piece in absolutely impeccable condition. No chips, no nicks, no cracks, no hairlines or restorations. The tips of the handles, despite being very exposed, are completely intact. A rare piece in this state of freshness.
