Pair of Bumling Anders Pehrson Table Lamps for Ateljé Lyktan, Space Age, 1960s

Rare pair of bumling table lamps in aluminum/chrome finish. Both lamps have the publisher's label. The bumling lamp series was designed by anders pehrson for ateljé lyktan in åhus, sweden in the late 1960s. Anders pehrson was born in 1912 and studied engineering before becoming design director of the lighting giant. Household appliances and lighting philips, between 1952 and 1963. He then took over the swedish lighting brand ateljé lyktan. He was the owner, manager and artistic director until his retirement in 1978. The bumling series which exists in the form of floor, wall and table lamps as well as pendant lamps. Another great success of his creations was the supertube series.
