Cantilever chairs in the style of Matteo Grassi

Set of five chrome-plated metal cantilever chairs based on Marcel Breuer's B34 model, later reissued for Matteo Grassi in the 1960s. 1970s/80s. Chrome-plated tubular metal frame. The backrest and seat are upholstered in thick tan leather. Stitched with saddle stitching, some seams are damaged (including one backrest and one seat that are partially torn; this can be repaired by a leatherworker). Two metal hoops with screw threads are located under the chairs. These hoops allow for quick and easy adjustment of the leather tension and therefore the seat firmness. The innovative design, in addition to giving these chairs an airy feel, also offers the advantage of flexibility. These chairs adapt to the user's position and body shape, making them very comfortable. Signs of wear on the leather; some of the feet are missing or loose (foam feet would be more suitable).
