Matteo Grassi, Italian leather as art de vivre

Matteo Grassi, an Italian manufactory founded in Meda in 1880, is one of the great Italian leather furniture houses. For a century, the workshop has passed down from father to son the art of stretching leather over solid wood structures, without using a single nail. This technique, the house signature, equips armchairs, chairs and sofas delivered to political leaders, banks and yachts. Designers Tito Agnoli, Carlo Bartoli or Sergio Mazza signed for the house some of its most memorable pieces.

Matteo Grassi armchairs and chairs in patinated leather, often signed Tito Agnoli or Carlo Bartoli, are now particularly sought-after Italian design pieces from the Seventies. A signature to find for those wanting Italian leather at its most noble.
