Oil on canvas from the studio of a contemporary painter. An animated composition depicting a fishing port or a small coastal mooring, occupied by several boats moored in calm waters. In the foreground, a white and grey dinghy stands out against the turquoise waters, while in the centre, several small vessels and a workboat in green and white tones structure the scene. To the left, an imposing fishing boat with orange-red superstructures dominates the composition, providing a vivid contrast with the blues of the water. Other white and blue boats are scattered in the background, extending to the shore. The texture is generous and very visible, with a broad, quick, and fragmented brushstroke. The silhouettes of the boats are simplified by successive flat areas, while the figures and details of the port are suggested by a few clear and colourful touches. The treatment of reflections further enhances this pictorial freedom, occasionally tipping the representation towards gestural abstraction. The orange-reds of the large boat, the deep greens of the hulls, and the bright yellows of the shore create a particularly vibrant and sunny palette.
