Beautiful marine painting depicting a harbor scene in concarneau. It shows several moored boats, with buildings in the background. The colors are mainly shades of blue, gray, and white, with some touches of yellow and red. A figure in a yellow raincoat and cap is visible in the foreground; this fisherman is working on one of the boats. The atmosphere is misty, suggesting a cloudy morning. The molded frame of the painting is gilded and lacquered in black. The artist's name and the date: "blaszczyk st. 91, " are visible in the lower right corner of the painting. Stanislas blaszczyk (1944-2006) was born in september 1944 in a labor camp in singen, poland, where his parents were incarcerated during the occupation. After the liberation, he moved to paris, where he worked as a hairdresser and then began painting. After living in vesoul, he arrived in l'ile-d'elle in 1991, and lived on rue du sabbat then route de fontenay.
