Curule seat from Syria, 19th century (possibly 18th century?) In orientalist style, made of curved carved walnut with arabesques featuring floral and geometric patterns (stars, diamonds), with mother-of-pearl inlays. The seat is in its original condition, with wear to the wood and the mother-of-pearl inlays, and some missing pieces (see photos). Seat height 44cm. Total height 70cm.
