6 art stone blocks Pitot

Set of 6 stoneware mugs with a very nice glaze in shades of brown, grey, and blue. A beautiful artisanal work both in turning and glazing. Five are in perfect condition. A defect on the 6th is shown in the last photo. Maurice Pitot was a renowned Belgian ceramist (1926 – 2010) based in Chatelineau, Belgium. He used the stoneware from Bouffioulx, a nearby locality nicknamed "the pottery city." A mug is a glass intended for beer, but it also serves perfectly as a generous mug.
