Napoleon III Modernized Guéridon Table in Blue

Period: late 19th century this gueridon has been restored and given a modern touch with its matte navy blue color and glossy black top. The table is relatively high. The apron is decorated with a carved frieze of neoclassical motifs and rosettes that adorn the legs. The four turned legs are joined by a crossbar. The frame is made of pine wood. The overall style is louis XVI neoclassical, but the concept, execution, and combination of motifs are typical of the napoleon III period of the late 19th century. The black top is a new, thick, glossy custom-made plexiglass plate. Condition: structurally good. The table has been repaired and painted. Some rosettes are replacements. New top. Dimensions: 78 cm high, 45 cm diameter, 4 kg.
