Large Louis XVI style bergère with ears in walnut, this piece of considerable size captivates with the balance of its lines and the richness of its decoration. The top of the backrest features a remarkable medallion in Wedgwood blue jasper, depicting an antique scene, delicately surrounded by a garland of pearls, a large ribboned bow, and finely carved scrolls. The entire frame, made of moulded wood, is adorned with a continuous decoration of pearls and ovals, while the armrests stand out with their painted ornaments that highlight the refinement of the structure. The bergère rests on four turned, fluted, and square feet, typical of the Louis XVI aesthetic and showcasing meticulous craftsmanship from the late 19th century. The upholstery has been redone in the traditional manner, with springs and animal hair, ensuring authentic and lasting comfort; the currently applied checked fabric can be covered according to your tastes to perfectly integrate into your interior. A decorative and comfortable piece, combining historical charm, quality craftsmanship, and potential for customization. Period: Late 19th century.
